We have been in business since 1993, starting out as “Broadway Futons,” selling just that and only that – futons. As our business grew and evolved, we introduced many different products beyond our original “futons only” model, until we reached one point in the summer of 2008 when we realized we were no longer really a futon shop. We changed names to better capture our expanding business and so “Sit Down New York” was born. Since the change, we have grown tremendously. We have served thousands of customers including interior designers, film studios, hotels, apartment stagers, restaurateurs, and retail chains, with many of them becoming our much loved regulars. We work hard to insure that every customer is happy – that remains our number one goal and how we measure our success.
